On Monday, the government notified the Supreme Court that it would make a final decision on whether to conduct a Class 12 board test in the COVID-19 pandemic within the next two days. Delivering Attorney General KK Benugoparui to the benches of Judges AMKhanwilkar and Judge DineshMaheshwari and said that if the center decides to deviate from last year's policy in which the rest of the board exams were canceled for the pandemic, it should show "specific reasons" for that. After the upper meeting on May 23, the minister said that a wide agreement between countries on the implementation of the Class 12 board exam is to make a'informed and collaborative' decision by June 1st. On April 14, the Central Secondary School Board (CBSE) announced the cancellation of Class 10 exams and postponement of Class 12 exams, taking into account the surge in coronavirus cases. Recently, the Ministry of Education requested detailed proposals from state and federal jurisdictions until May 25 for the proposals discussed at the high-level meetings held on this issue. The CBSE proposed to conduct the test between July 15th and August 26th and publish the results in September. The board also proposed two options: conducting periodic examinations of 19 key subjects at the notified center, or conducting short-term examinations at each school in which the student attends.
